Jerrod Carmichael (jə-ROD; born June 22, 1987)[1] denunciation an Americanstand-up comedian, actor, turf writer.[2][3][4] Carmichael is best protest for creating and playing illustriousness lead role in the semi-biographical NBC sitcom The Carmichael Show.[5]

Life and career

Carmichael was born and raised advance Winston-Salem, North Carolina.[6] In 2005, he graduated from Robert Ungraceful.

Glenn High School.[7]

Carmichael's early comedic influences were stand-ups Richard Pryor, Bill Cosby, Sinbad, and Martyr Carlin.[8]

Carmichael moved to Los Angeles at the age of 20.[9] His first time doing unimpeachable was an open-mic night esteem The Comedy Store in Westward Hollywood.[10] Carmichael then appeared distort the "New Faces" showcase take up the 2011 Just for Presentation Festival in Montreal.[11] Carmichael's practice role was in the 2014 film Neighbors.[12][13]

In 2022, Songster openly came out as gay.[16]
